The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 468, Chapters 1 and 4 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Aid to Dependent Children – General Background and Employment First. The proposed changes update definitions; modify individual responsibility requirements; update exemptions from Employment First requirements; modify intake and initial assessment requirements; remove self-sufficiency contract requirements; add Individualized Employment Plan requirements; expand component requirements to allow more families to participate in Employment First; add job retention services; update supportive and transitional services; modify nonparticipation and noncooperation requirements; update terminology; add clarification language; remove unnecessary language; renumber the regulatory chapters; and correct typographical and punctuation errors.
Authority for these regulations is found in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 81-3117(7) and §§ 68-1715 and 43-512.
